Surabaya Capital of East Java province, Indonesia


INDONESIAN CITIES - Surabaya is geographically located at 07˚09`00 "- 07˚21`00" south latitude and east longitude 112˚36`- 112˚54`. The total area of land with an area of Surabaya covers 333.063 km ² and a sea area of 190.39 km ².



Population

According to the Population Census of 2010, the city of Surabaya has a population of 2,765,908 inhabitants. With an area of 333.063 km², the population density of the city of Surabaya is 8304 people per km².

Although Java is the ethnic majority (83.68%), but Surabaya is also home of various tribes in Indonesia, including the Madurese (7.5%), Chinese (7.25%), Arabs (2.04%), and the rest are other tribes such as Bali, Batak, Bugis, Banjar, Manado, Minangkabau, Dayak, Toraja, Ambon, and Aceh or foreigners.



Park

Surabaya is one of the cleanest cities in Indonesia. It can be seen with the city parks leafy in almost every corner of the city is equipped with a beautiful fountain. Park in the city of Surabaya in between Mundu Parks, Parks hump, Undaan Park, Garden Solar, Rainbow Garden, Garden Jayengrono and so on. One of the parks in Surabaya, Bungkul Park, in 2013 was awarded The Asian townscape Award 2013 of the United Nations as the best park in Asia because of the amenities very complete and integrated starting economic zones (center PKL), open green area, garden , the area of disability, internet (Wi-Fi) free of charge, as well as the arrangement of a good garden and the plants are beautiful
